How to Perform a Registry Scan
How to Perform a Registry Scan
Performing a registry scan is a very simple task if you have
the proper registry scanning software currently at your
disposal. Although it can take some time sifting through the
different registry repair scanners on the market today, when
you find the best one for you and your PC you will experience
nothing less than successful results. Performing the actual
scan once you have your program installed and ready to go is
the simple part. If this is your first time scanning your PC
for registry errors than you will want to invest in a user
friendly software to help you through your first few scans and
then of course you can upgrade once you begin to fully
understand how each feature works and how it is used.
If you have chosen a registry program which offers a
free registry scan before
your purchase, this process is simple. You simply click the
Scan Now button on the home page of the website and follow
the quick installation process to the end. When you have
installed this trial version of the software you first scan
the entire program window and see what your options are.
Some of the newer and more advanced registry scanners today
allow you to customize your scanning preferences even in the
trial versions of their software. Once you have gone through
these steps, you can choose to leave them blank as well if
you are not sure what to customize, you simple click Scan.
The software will then begin scanning every section of your
registry and will have a small window that shows you the
results it has found. As a trial version it will of course
not go through the entire registry, but only a small portion
to show you it does work.
Once you have officially purchased and downloaded your chosen
registry repair software you can choose to scan as often as you
like and many times you can set automatic scanning times on
your software so it begins on its own throughout the day or
week as you have requested. Choosing to scan is the same as
with the trial version except the software will go through your
entire registry and you will no doubt have a long list of
errors to be quarantined and deleted when the scan is
completed. You can choose to simply quarantine the errors if
you are not sure if they are important to how your PC runs or
not, but more times than not it is completely safe to delete
them.
